I had dream where TCB released a bunch wayward guide episodes that were like extra, short, one off videos about just a couple of characters (kinda like poe party's prologues and the HemingWells extra and such) and I was very sad to wake up and realize that those don't exist

I’m curious.. What the hell is Edgar Allen Poe’s Murder Mystery Party, because I would love to watch it but I don’t know what it’s about or where to find it.
BUCKLE UP BRO WE’RE ABOUT TO GET IN IT
Ok so first off it’s a murder mystery dinner party hosted by Poe and the Lady Ghost Lenore, featuring authors from the 19th and 20th centuries bc time is a meaningless construct and it’s funnier that way. @shipwreckedcomedy is awesome like that.
When they were raising money for it with kickstarter they had videos of Poe and Lenore (played by siblings Sean and Sinead Persaud) where they interacted with authors (who weren’t part of the dinner party, so as to not spoil anything beforehand) so you should really start with those.
Mark Twain
J. M. Barrie
Ralph Waldo Emmerson
Leo Tolstoy
And then you can move on to the actual party. Here’s a link to the playlist, which starts with a trailer so you can skip the first video and go to episode one: The Bells
Then there’s an Extra they did with Hemingway and Wells (Hemingwells)
Then there’s A Cryptmas Carol, which is set before the party but features elements that won’t make sense if you haven’t seen the party.
Each episode is really only between 8-20 minutes long, so while you can spread it out and only watch one episode at a time, it’s also not a lot to watch the whole thing all at once.
WATCH THE WHOLE THING AT ONCE AND GET BACK TO ME AS SOON AS YOU’RE DONE. NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE TALK WITH ME ABOUT IT.

Happy Poeversary (ch 6)!
One year ago today, Edgar Allan Poe’s Murder Mystery Dinner Party Chapter 6: Spirits of the Dead was posted to YouTube. And just like that, the series was more than half over. No offense to Krishanti, but I was kind of relieved that she was the victim this episode, after the double whammy the previous week. All the authors were safe, at least for the time being.
Watching this episode now, all its clues seem rather obvious, but at the time I didn’t see it that way. Charlotte interrupting the seance could hardly go unnoticed, but was that significant or a red herring? Also, maybe this is just me, but I had no idea who or what Guy was pointing to when he said, “She is not able” so even if I had figured out that he was saying A. Bell, it wouldn’t have helped me that much. In an early version of the script, Annabel responds by asking Guy what he thinks she’s not able to do. I seem to remember the Shipwrecked people saying at some point (commentary? the podcast? some other BTS video? or did I just make this up?) that this was cut because they thought it made the clue too obvious, and I agree that it definitely seems that way if you already know the twist. Personally I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have figured it out even with this line, but who knows?
Once again, my Eddie theory was not disproved. I briefly toyed with the idea that he was working with Louisa May Alcott and Agatha Christie, since neither of their ghosts had been summoned either, and I still find that possibility rather amusing. I appreciated that, like Dostoevsky’s murder, Krishanti’s could have been committed by pretty much anyone, since they all split up right before it happened. I did note, however, that Emily Dickinson, who clearly did not kill Krishanti, left the study before any of the others, and yet the killer reached the kitchen before her. Granted, the murderer could have merely taken a faster route, and I still hadn’t given up my study/kitchen secret passage theory, but this seemed yet another reason to suspect Eddie. I was still waiting to be proven wrong, but I was going to stick with him as my suspect until then.
I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout out to Hemingwells, the brotp that really only exists in this episode, with a reprise in that extra boxing video. It comes out of nowhere and vanishes just as suddenly, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. Although now that I know about Blake Silver’s allergies, I can’t watch this episode without noticing how watery his eyes are, which kind of dampens the Hemingwells effect. Both the #PoorBlake and the #PoorEmily are in full force in this episode. Most of the previous #PoorEmily jokes were about people not noticing her at all, but in this episode they notice her as if for the first time and think she’s a ghost, which is even funnier.
My favorite thing about this episode at the time, however, was of course the Clue nod. Krishanti’s murder was clearly (or at least, it was clear to me) a combination of the motorist’s, cop’s, and Yvette’s murders, so while her death was still tragic, I appreciated the method with which she met her demise. Which sounds terribly wrong, but I’m not sure how else to express it.
#poeparty#poe party#poeversary#rip krishanti#hemingwells#poor emily#this show is so freaking good#i say that all the time but it's so true#i'm legit angry that it didn't win any streamys#not that i've ever cared about the streamys before#but poe party should win all the awards

Day 4!
Don’t make me choose!! I love all the shorts so much.
I’ll save you my painful deliberations and just say I’ve chosen Poe’s Draw My Life. It’s probably the funniest video I’ve ever seen and the fact that @seanpersaud improvised the whole thing is absolutely incredible.
(Honorable mentions: the Patreon video, A Tell Tale Birthday, and the Hemingwells Poe Party extra)
Day One!
I discovered Shipwrecked through a YouTube recommendation of KitR after I watched the LBD. I started watching the first episode but got very confused because it seems to start part way through the story 😂
Eventually I watched it properly (after seeing heaps of love for it on @welovewebseries (thanks Rae!!)) and immediately fell in love, so went on to watch AttV and start counting the days until Poe Party!
